In case you haven’t heard, Taylor Kinney (who??) proposed to “Stefani” Lady Gaga on Valentines with a heart shaped diamond.

And I was already convinced she had a heart of gold. After seeing her in June I knew she was more than a singer/performer/songwriter/badass dancer. She literally is the warmest, kindest human. No, I didn’t meet her in person, but golly, those people who went up on stage got more than a hug and a photo– not an eye was dry in that hockey arena.
BACK TO THE BLING
About two weeks ago (-14 before proposal), I started pinning heart shaped diamond rings. Because I’m obsessed with engagement rings. I always have been, but things have been moving that direction with my man…. Well, I told him I thought it was my turn, and he acted like he’d failed me…. There there, big man, I’m still here, and my finger’s still naked.
Pinning, right.
I had pinned all kinds of rings until now, then I had to create a new board just for engagement rings. I didn’t like how they were clogging up everyone’s feed and my giant board of already amazing jewelry. Then I jumped into the heart world. I already wear a heart ring, a sterling silver I made in a metal jewelry class in college. I made it for my mom, and it was too big. (oh well!) So I wear it all the time, and I’m always looking for more heart rings.
The hardest thing about an engagement ring, seeing as i’m obsessed with sparkles, is that I don’t even know what I want. But… The heart is a shape i’ve always identified with and I like wearing one now… I thought maybe I would love to wear one THERE…. Like THAT. (my heart is fluttering)
Think hearts the next time you feel burdened by all of the same rings out there. This is a symbol of love, right?
Thanks for stealing my thunder, *ahem* Taylor, I will now share all of my favorite heart rings here… now that you’ve done the legwork…. But the special white diamond pave detail of “T<3S” is quite possibly my favorite part.
